Celebrating 10 years! Since June 4, 2001 Tom Roten has been commenting on the news of the day while engaging listeners in conversation about controversial issues and hot topics. The Tom Roten Morning Show provides the tri-state with different perspectives on a variety of stories.
Tom's guests include some of the most well-known political leaders, best-selling authors, and other newsmakers. U. S. Presidential candidates, members of Congress, and professional athletes have been among Tom's guests.
Regular guests appearing on the show include: U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis (R-KY), U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-WV), and U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH). Tom covers Huntington City issues by interviewing the Mayor Kim Wolfe after each city council meeting.
The goal of The Tom Roten Morning Show is to give listeners an opportunity to share their opinions and engage in meaningful conversation. Tom wants listeners to give consideration to ideas that are different from what we've always been taught!
Hailing from Glenville in central West Virginia, Tom Roten came to Huntington, WV in 1986 to attend Marshall University. He started in the WVHU studio in 1991 as an in-studio producer for sports programming, a news anchor, and play-by-play announcer.
Tom, his wife, and four sons enjoy going to church, the outdoors, and playing Monopoly!
