"Wrong is wrong no matter who does it." - Tom Roten, March 15, 2013

That's what I said this morning when it was reported as a "Shocker" by the Columbus Dispatch that US Sen. Rob Portman is now supporting same-sex marriage since his college-age son has announced he is a homosexual.

While a US Rep. in the 1990's, Portman voted for the Defense of Marriage Act.  So in the past he was supposedly against same-sex marriage.  So let me get this straight...if someone in your family does or becomes what you have always thought was wrong, that means you change your mind on it AND expect everyone else to do the same! Portman is now expecting the Supreme Court to strike down DOMA.

Sorry folks...if my son decides to rob a bank, it's still wrong and I'll still be against it.  Even if I change my mind and say I'm ok with bank robbing now that I've seen how my son is, THAT still doesn't make it right!  Unbelievable!

Here's what will happen.  By 2014 and certainly by 2016's presidential election, you will see more and more Republicans (some of which might even be considered conservatives) change their position on same-sex marriage.  Read the article linked below.
