Investigators reportedly believe a pressure cooker may have been used in one of the bombs that detonated at the Boston Marathon yesterday. CBS News cites a source as saying one of the explosive devices appears to have been placed in a pressure cooker that was then put into a bag or backpack.

I would have thought this is some new right-wing Christian way of making a bomb. But I guess I'm wrong about that. According to the NY Times, the Dept. of Homeland Security has known about pressure cookers being used for bombing episodes since 2004, citing several plots from 2002 to 2004.

Will this bring out the same hysteria as gun control?
I guess Sen. Joe Manchin will now try to work with the GOP on some kind of compromise bill to do background checks on those trying to buy pressure cookers!
Mayor Bloomberg is already calling for a complete ban on pressure cookers.
President Obama wants a limit on the amount of pressure a pressure cooker can have saying, "Americans don't need that much pressure to cook their green beans."
